Ryknow
I had an idea that the crowd should be a bigger part in Football Manager. For instance we all know how players are getting booed alot more now by their fans if they do not perform well. I thought this would be a nice addition. You sometimes get it in press conferences where they ask you "Player X has been recently critised by the fans about his recent performances, what is your view on his form?" Then for instance the commentry during a game he is not playing well could say "The fans are not happy about XXXX performance, and making sure they are heard". This would then tie into the players personality, whether it would spur him on or destroy his confidence. Eg. 'Model Professional' plays through the booing. Age could also be included, the veterans more likely to shrug it off than the under 20s. To see the effect mid game you could just view the "Player morale/confidence" stats, where it normally says "Playing with confidence". This could say, "Not performing under fan pressure" or whatever. This then could be translated to away games, for instance going to Anfield or playing Fernabache at their ground. A stat could be used for this 'Home Support' or something, the higher the more daunting the away game could be for some players. Anyways just a thought, feel free to add onto it.
