Why is it when the opposition wingers are running down the flank with the ball my full back just runs alongside watching them until they reach the byline where it gets crossed in. I've tried adjusting mentality, hard tackling, closing down often etc but my full backs just will not try a tackle in these situations. Is anyone else getting this? dazbowski Posted December 10, 2008 Share Posted December 10, 2008 agree with the op, it's the baine of any kind of defensive tactic, your fullbacks no matter what setting always alow the wingers goal side, always seem slower and never block and/or tackle.
