What is the difference between part time, full time and amateur contracts?

There is a lot of info in the manual and is always worth a read or re-read. Sometimes worth a looking at a section / page each time the heavy processing starts as a way of maximising time. I'd recommend it for lots of knowledgable gems

Amateurs are not payed by the club (IRL) Part-Time are paid by the club, but so little that they need a normal job aswell to make ends meet. Full time are pro's that make their living by playing football

Also, I think amateurs can move clubs at any time without warning/or compensation.

IRL yes, not sure about the game though as I always give amateurs new part-time contracts at once. Haven't played amateur teams in 09 yet though.

Yep. Amateurs do not earn a wage either (thank god SI seem to have sorted Queen's Park as far as I can see in my tests).
