Should the star system be lloked at?

Recommended Posts

Seems to confuse a few people. The star system is related to the best player in your team. Some people wonder why player A only have 4 stars when he is just as good as the 6 star player B in another team.

Sure they can have the same CA but 2 stars differ, because Player A has a teammate with much higher CA, than the best player in player B's team.

You see this if you are a lower league club and have a team full of 5 stars, if you then buy a new player with alot higher CA than the old players you will see your 5 star players fall to 4 or even 3 stars.

So if you only look at the stars a team with 10x 4 stars and 1x 6 stars can be alot better than a team full of 5 stars. The 4 star players have higher CA than the 5 star players of the other team, but have a star less due to the team has a player with much higher CA than the rest.

If you have a tam full of 5 stars, use a savegame editor and give one player CA 200, you will see all those 5 stars players are now 1 or 2 stars, but their skills has not changed.

This seems to confuse some players, thinking some teams are totally overrated or underrated based on the stars.

Maybe change it to a 10 star system and have it CA based only and not related to the best player in the squad.

The problem with having it CA based only, is that with 1 star covering 20 CA points (in a 10 star system), the majority of your team is probably going to be on the same rating, give or take one star, so it's not sure it's really that useful. It will tell you if players are significantly better or worse than the rest of your team but that's it.
