With regards to your suggestions on chairman interaction on asking for more money etc, I agree it would be useful to see this implemented. Maybe more interaction when a chairman accepts an offer too good to refuse, it would open a discussion where you can suggest if he sells player x for £10m, he'll support you on replacing him with player y for £7m or something. Or if it is a key player, i.e. best striker, you could suggest that selling him will leave your team short of goals and therefore you cannot accept responsibility if results suffer. At the other end of the scale, if your remaining budget is £2m but a quality player gets offered to you for £5m - take someone like Diarra for instance; you get the option to buy him but under set terms ie. performance conditions.
