Question about freerole

Ok so I know what freerole means and what it does. And we all know that there's a freerole attribute value for each player.

My question is

1. Can this freerole attribute ever be decreased or increased during the course of the game? Or is it set in stone and can not be altered no matter what happens?

2. If a player has a very low freerole attribute, is it always a bad idea to tick freerole for his setting?

I've found that any player set to free role scores around 4.5 at the most. I don't use it.

Not sure what other users find.

You only want to give free role to players able to play free role. Should have the freerole stat, decisions, flair and creativity. You want to give it to players like Ronaldinho, kaka and the likes of them.

1. Presumably the free role stat is based on the aggregate of the attributes that constitute a free role. They are mostly mental, together (I think) with passing. AFAIK none of these attributes ever decline (unlike physical ones) so it's very unlikely that the free role stat would decrease. It could theoretically increase, however.

2. It would be a disaster. He'd round around like a headless chicken and his teammates wouldn't have a clue where he'd pop up to receive a pass!
