nope, windows vista uses 1gb ram, so thats all your memory taken up using that, you need MINIMUM of 2gb ram.

Yes, but upgrading anything on a laptop is expensive, i'd recomend saving up another £100 and getting one you don't need to upgrade.

Yes it is. Its fairly cheap & can be bought over the internet & in computer stores.

Its not that expensive, I spent 45 euros (around £30 I think) buying 2GB of RAM for my laptop. That's hardly very expensive, is it?

Maybe for the ram, but if you're buying the laptop and open it up you void any warranty or you have to factor in the cost of getting someone to put the ram in for you.

so all things considered if he bought a 2gb of ram, could he play fm fast and at good speed, btw he knows somebody who is good with computers, inserting stuff etc

Well I use 3gb ram and it runs perfectly on that, I'd also look at the graphic specifications of that laptop, personally don't think it's got anything that will run football manager within the 3d mode.
