do i still need the disc once loaded up with steam?

just a simple question as when i play my game now through steam ive no need for the disk its just packed away

To play without steam active, find the FM09.exe in the following location, C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Football Manager 2009. Then create a shortcut for FM.exe and copy this to your desktop. Then start it from the desktop and you can run it wihtout steam
