Stoke City - The Potters

Stoke City Football Club is a football club based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Stoke is the second-oldest Football League club in the world as it was founded in 1863. The club plays in the Football League Championship, the second tier of English football. Stoke play their home fixtures at the Britannia Stadium, a 28,000 all-seater stadium.

Stoke have not participated in the top flight since the 1984-85 season when they were relegated with a total of 17 points, which would be a record low tally for twenty-one years. Key Players

Ryan Shawcross - Central Defender - 19 years old - Believed To Be One Of The Best Players at The Club

Salif Diao - Defensive Midfielder - 30 years old - Although Ageing, Regarded as A Key Member of The Squad

Weak Areas

Goalkeepers are an Issue, as Simonsen isn't all great and Russell Hoult is Getting Old and is Injured for a month.

There is only one Left Midfielder in the first team, Danny Pugh.

Depending on how You Play you may want to add to the Strike-Force. Ricardo Fuller is a good strong player but is not as fast as others.

The Defence is fine but some additions could help, due to Dominic Matteo being 33 and Gabriel Zakuani only being on loan.

Recommended Players

Mika Aaritalo - 250k - TPS - AMRL ST - Must Have Finland Enabled for This player. Good Young Midfielder.

Valery-Nahayo - 250k - Jomo Cosmos - DRC - Stumbled across this player randomly, And turned out to be a rather good Championship player.

Terrell Forbes - 85k - Yeovil - DRC - Bargain Signing, Performs Brilliantly, Good Player.

Mikko Vilmunen - 50k - Drogheda Utd - GK - Cheap signing, Good in Earlier Patches

Jukko Lehtovaara - 140k - TPS - GK - Again must have Finland enabled for this player. Performed well for my Hartlepool Side, Helping us Towards Playoffs in First Season. Good Reactions

Well as an actual stoke fan I feel there is a few issues that need correcting. Stokes main rival is Port Vale, they are located in Stoke-on-Trent in Burslem.

After that the fans perceived main rival is West Brom.

The points is the lowest ever in a 42 game season in the top flight, so whilst its not an enviable record, it still stands because the old first division was 42 games a season at the time.

I imagine next season this kind of stoke thread will be quite popular with the fact that many will be trying to keep stoke in the premiership.
