Expanding/Building new stadium

Hi, im a few seasons into fm09 with Birmingham. Im established in the prem and at the end of each season i ask the board to expand the stadium. The response from has been the same every time, they decline because 'the council would never allow an expansion'.

Now i remember on the past few FM's the board would accept your request but it would then be blocked by the council and eventually, if you had enough money, theyd build a new stadium.

So basically what i want to know is, what will eventually happen in this case? Is St Andrews fully expanded? Do i have to wait for them to build a new stadium? Or is there anything i can do to make them expand?

Eventually the council will allow you to expand, but maybe the council feels you don't have enough reason to expand...

Hi, I don't think theire is anything you can do about it. It is something the AI will decide.

if you have a really good bank balance the board may decide to build a new stadium

thats brings up a good point though, if your stadium was expanded would you be able to tell in the stadium graphic? like for example would you have another tier or something?

No, but the 2 stands that weren't modernised could be done! It was planned so eventually it could be like the 2 modern sides all the way round

Yeah I work in the TO at Blues, they can't redevelop the main stand because there is a listed building directly behind it and it would probably be damaged if the stand was renovated.

Like Pompey, best you can hope for is your board offer to build a new ground
