install using steam or unilock?

I am installing the game for the first time and when installing it didnt give me a choice of steam etc, and when i try loading the game its says the application failed to install?? any ideas?

maybe something wrong with your dvd, either that or you may have just downloaded the crack version. NEVER heard of that problem for anyone else, don't know if you'd be the only 1 out of 250,000 dvd sales though. Would be extremely unlikely

To do which? Authenticate or install somewhere else? If you weren't given an install location option, assume it's gone to the default. The default data editor locations are:

Authenticated through Uniloc/Phone

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\tools\data editor

Authenticated through Steam

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2009\tools\data editor
