chairman doing my job

everytime a club makes an offer for my players the chairman automaticly accepts the offer even though i want to keep the player. everytime i develope youth players that are really good he practicly just gives them away

Who are you playing as? Also what's your balance like. From my understanding Rep, Finances and chairman personality can all affect this.

im playing with bradford city i have 5.42m so its not like the club really need the money. all i want to do is develope the good youth players but i never get to keep them long enough even when paying them decent wages

Well to be honest, the club does need money, the chairman is proberly very ambitious and interfering, which makes your job harder. But it seems the chairman is trying to make you into a selling club. Next time he fobs off a player of yours ask for more money for transfers, thats what i would do. If he rejects put in a ultimatum, although this may make you loose your job so be carefull.

I'd say that it may be a link between an ambitious chairman and the reputation of your club he could be thinking "this player is very good, we aren't that big a club so may have trouble keeping him, it may be an idea to cash in now."

Im kinda hoping my club gets taken over although i have never seen it happen in any FM ive played

It's probably because of a debt or poor bank balance. Chairmans become really hot-headed as soon as the coffers are empty - they will sell anyone for ridicoulous prices, just to fill these up.
