Cerberus935
Hello...anyone have their chairman selling their players even though u are adamant that you were not going to sell? If so is their a way to stop this and if not then can SI add something in the game to hit the chairman around the head to stop this?
MarkTrevor
No, there is no way of stopping it. And what would be the point of SI adding something, if you're a club in debt and someone wants to buy your star player for 20M, no chairman in the world would turn that down
grep
Which is the way to hack that ?
Neji
It something that I like in the game, it's adds to the challenge. I always thought it was too easy to keep hold of your best players in FM. This year, I've lost three or four players I want to keep because I'm not at a big club. I love the challenge. You can offer the player a new contract after the chairman accepts the offer, and if he accepts your offer over the other club, then he will obviously stay at your club. Jannersaint
Set the value to £0. The offers will come in for £0 and the chairman will never accept it!
gleesefc
i find offering new contracts to the players when a bid has been accepted by the chairman tends to counter the bid, presuming they accept your new contract offer
rancer890
You can't do anything about it if your players want to leave. Take the money and run!!! You can always (well for me anyways) find someone who can do an adequate job for probably half the price your star player got sold at...
Kickballz
Set the value to £0. The offers will come in for £0 and the chairman will never accept it! I never thought of that. If that actually works, it's pretty lame and should be logged as a bug.
x42bn6
You can also cancel a transfer via the Transfer Centre.
manutdthereds
A quick one from me, is there any way in-game to tell what personality your chairman is ?? Im guessing without any answers that it is through the activity you get from him around transfer windows or if the bank balance drops low and suddenly there is the 'Sugar-Daddy' cash pump to the club...? Kickballz
I don't think chairman have personalities as such other than if they want to stay or sell up. It just depends on the financial situation of the club.
manutdthereds
Yeah fair point I guess I meant more like do they like to sell players/want huge signings/invest huge amounts of money. Probably just a 'wait and see' thing but I was curious if you could find it out somehow.
Kickballz
The only indication I suppose is his love for the club. If he says he 'loves the club' and has money then you're laughing, otherwise he's just another obstacle on the way to success and it's very doubtful he'll invest in anything. BamBamBam
You can also cancel a transfer via the Transfer Centre. Does that work?
EthanM
Does that work? I think it only works if the transfer bid is accepted by you. If it's accepted by the chairman, you can't cancel it via Transfer Centre.
Butts
Not sure if that work round still works after the patch but certainly before it you could use it when the chairman had accepted.
Bennico
According to this topic: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=101865&highlight=cancel+transfer you can indeed "undermine your chairman" by cancelling the bids he accepts via the Transfer Center. I've not yet had opportunity to test this myself, but others say it works. Don't know whether or not this was 'fixed' in the 3rd patch though? moneyhero
i think this is a part of the game the needs looking at, i had ramon a brazilian wonderkid cb at q.p.r, and my chairman accepted a 24 million bid as it was to good to refuse, a fair prie ive no arguments there however, i had 80 million in the bank, and the player did not want to leave, once my chairman accepted the bid his status became unhappy at me for accepting transfer offers so left anyway i may be wrong but i think your finances is irrelavent in your chairman accepting bids, and i think your chairmen should only intervene if the club is short on cash or perhaps if the offer is astronomicaly stupid you have to accept. i understand from somewhere each player in the game has a sale value, im guessing this and the players rep against the amount offered is all that determines it, which is wrong, just look at utd with ronaldo this summer club dident need the money player stayed as with reading and stephen hunt
Nomis07
i may be wrong but i think your finances is irrelavent in your chairman accepting bids, and i think your chairmen should only intervene if the club is short on cash or perhaps if the offer is astronomicaly stupid you have to accept. I disagree with that, chairmen and boards are driven by money. AFAIC the game is realistic in that context.
