Still Not Playing

Its been a week and 2 days and as of yet i still havent got near playing a game. I've tried pretty much everything i've been told to do regarding certificates and downloading activators etc but no of them work. So please could someone please gimme a personal explanation as to how to get this thing working. I've also emailed sega days ago but have so far got no reply or help.

The problem I have btw is with the softwanchor application. Like so so many others it says it cant connect to the internet. I'm using vista if thats anymore useful to you.

Please help me as I really dont want football manager 2008 to be the last game i play.
