Anybody Experiecned This

Hi

I play short quick tempo fooball , all the time , when I play at home it works really well , and none of my players just go up and boot it .

But when I play away , my players just hoof it up there most of the time ??

Why is this ??

Tougher game away from home, but your players should still be following your instructions. Perhaps they aren't able to follow your instructions when away from home because they get elss time on the ball etc.

slow down the tempo a bit when playing away. works in real life as well (outside of football, that is )

Don't forget to use a bit more time wasting when away as it gives your players a bit more time to dwell on the ball instead of just kicking it up the pitch to the other end.

I thought time wasting only has an effect at the end of the game

Not as far as the results of my tinkering with tactics have produced. I remember reading it on CMFrenzy as well. It allows more time for your players to keep the ball and not just kick it to the other side of the pitch.

Check your creative freedom, if it is high then your players may not follow your instructions.

I do this with Newcaslte , but have excellent players in the middle of the park eg creativity and first touch and passing.

But Away I just slow the tempo down
