shrekiejai
Recently bought the game at Games (Sydney, Aust), and I noticed that the game was not sealed for the whole box. Just a large sticker over the edges. I'm fairly sure this is new, but then I'm also paranoid at the same time. Is there anyway I can check how many install have been used? Thanks

BeN82
There's a certain mystery website that we are supposed to be able to see how many licences we used and can deactivate but for some reason, it is not out yet.
Aodhagan
There's a certain mystery website that we are supposed to be able to see how many licences we used and can deactivate but for some reason, it is not out yet. What does it mean when you deactivate it?
BeN82
From my understanding, you can deactivate licences on that website as well.
shrekiejai
Yeh, SI said you can go to that site and deactivate installs. Not that I understand how it would work, as if FM doesnt connect to the internet once installed, how does it know it has been deactivated? Anyways, having that site published somewhere would be good! rusty_u
The site has been posted on here last week sometime, only it didn't actually work. Think it was in the thread made by the guy who bought a copy from eBay.
shrekiejai
Can someone from SI help? Or is this only a myth?
mije1983
Can someone from SI help? Or is this only a myth? From the Q&A Thread: Hi All, Official Q+A - Over to you, Murray: If after 5 computers, I uninstall the game from a computer, can I install it on another machine? Yes, you can. Uninstalling the game will free up a license seat. You may also free up license seats at the soon to be announced deactivation URL After 5 installs do I have to throw the game away? No, absolutely not. If you uninstall the game you can free up your license seats. In addition, you can visit: to free up license seats. Cheers Matt + Murray Looks like they are still waiting to add the URL for it.
rusty_u
Here is the URL: http://deactivation.fm2009.softanchorinsight.com/ Doesn't work yet though, can't find any installs for my serial.
shrekiejai
Interesting.. has anyone tried installing more than 5 times? I find it hard to imagine how SI can deactivate installs if that install never goes online (after activation).... Anyways, hopefully SI will provide us with some real instructions eventually. Thanks for your help
BeN82
It is kinda disturbing that they can release the game without properly launching this deactivation site. I see a thread that they have gone one up on the pirates. Good on them........but don't punish your loyal customers as well.
