mcchalk
Has anyone started a network game over the internet and noticed that its loads slower than FM08? Me and my mate played every Monday on the old one and although it was slow it was ok to play but the new one seems really dog slow. He has just moved and we were wondering if it was his new internet connection or just the game. If anyone who has played an internet game on both could chip in it would be great. denno08
Have you guys been through the process of opening up ports on your router? Is that the only way you can get a network game to run? I've tried opening ports on my firewall in vista but nothing has changed, i'm still told the same old error "unable to connect..." I've read about how to open up ports on a router on the net, but it seems to be a long winded pain in the backside. Surely this can't be the only way considering that the majoirty of people who play this game will only have limited IT/PC knowledge. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. denno08
After reading a few threads on this topic i have come to the conclusion that Hamachi is the best option. Thoughts? http://www.throw-in.com/2008/how-to-play-online-hamachi/
