matthewgoodfield
Hi Just wanted to know if you guys managing big clubs use this team talk ' I expect a win ' For games like Hull away Thanks
CaptainPlanet
I'm never expected to win with my club so I don't use it. But in FM08 I would only use it when we were at home and were heavy favourites based on the pre-match odds.
Ozzy38
For away games only do it if the team's in a lower league or just awful.
LongTimeComing
Whenever I've used it, I've lost, so I haven't tried it for a few versions of FM now.
jptykes
Use it sparingly. Very sparingly. It puts pressure on players imo.
Tomo_Hull_City
Hey what you mean "i expect to win", for games against Hull, We are not a bad team you know
twattyatkins
I use it at home but never away, away I use 'you can win this game' or 'good luck'
Clavin99
Past few games I have used it, I lost. So I have stopped using that one, although I'm tempted to stop giving team talks all together.
TomHAVFC
I only use it when I'm playing lower league teams or when a team is in really bad form.
Wakers
In FM08 I always used this, if you have a determined squad it worked wonders. Doesn't quite work so well in 09 though.
HL7
Use it if you expect to win. It's not rocket science... It works well (imo) if the game also shares the belief that you should win.
Amaroq
In FM08 I always used this, if you have a determined squad it worked wonders. Doesn't quite work so well in 09 though. Its just been tuned down a bit - you can still get good success with it with a determined/iron-willed/professional squad, especially of veteran players, and especially when the match odds are firmly in your favor. COOPER_NUFC
yeah use it with newcastle against smaller teams like hull stoke etc - works well, 4th in the league after 20ish games
baker.simon
Its the other ones that get me! I was winning comfortably 2-0 at half time and dominating the game. Then in my team talk i said "Dont let your performance drop" and that was it! We went from world beaters to sunday league pub team, and drew 3-3! Annoying! nerner
I never use this, as it is a bad omen.
