Hi all, first post!!!

Got this game on Saturday and have noticed that this installment is a lot harder than any of the previous. Even if you weren't tactfully very good (like me.) You could still pick a team like Man U or Chelsea and do relatively well.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining that it's harder. In fact, I prefer it because it will make me a better player. I was just wondering if anyone had any beginner tips for myself as I have tried nearly every tactic under the sun with my Watford team and still can't see what I am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance!!!

It's definatly harder, I still haven't found a tatic that works well with Watford yet but working on it!

Have a look in the tactics & training forum here http://community.sigames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18 and the good player forum for players here http://community.sigames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21

Finally, welcome to the forums.

It is harder, I think it's a lot more realistic in terms of difficulty.

Giant James go to the tactics page and download wwfans tactical frameworks or go to the fmbritain website. Best thing ever. Will really get you to understand the game more. Done me wonders.

Thats why i stayed with FM08, i thought FM09 would be too hard. Chicken i know. And also because my PC is crap.

Couldn't agree more with this sentiment. wwfan is a genius and has helped me immesly. If it was up to me I'd nominate him for a nighthood.;)
