Tinky
Hi, I've followed all the instructions, got the game working - but it wont give me any option outside the 2d view. Am I right in thinking its either a lack of RAM or a crap video card (its old). I'm attaching a dxdiag - can someone tell me from that if I can get the 3d working and if not what the best solution is? Thanks in advance.... ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 11/19/2008, 23:21:57 Machine name: A-AND-S-HOME-PC Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: HP Pavilion 05 System Model: DA114A-ABU 793 BIOS: )Phoenix - Award WorkstationBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.06GHz Memory: 512MB RAM Page File: 877MB used, 452MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.5512 32bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: The file d3d9d.dll is a debug version, which will run slower than the retail version. Matt ex SEGA
Hi, Have you fully updated DirectX? There's a link in the FAQ to do this at the top of the forum. I can't tell from reading that, sorry, not very technical! I'd also suggest checking that your graphics card driver is up to date. It is old and I think it's under minimum spec but its probably worth checking that you're as up to date as possible before conceding that. Cheers Matt
mimland
I'm no expert either but if your thinking of upgrading your system you should try and get a new graphics card and some more RAM. You should be able to get both those things for a reasonable fee.
monkeezgob
You've got DirectX 9c, so that should be ok., I think the problem is your graphics card, it needs to be at least 128mb and nvidia geforce 5900 series.
