Novice spec question

Hi,

I've followed all the instructions, got the game working - but it wont give me any option outside the 2d view.

Am I right in thinking its either a lack of RAM or a crap video card (its old). I'm attaching a dxdiag - can someone tell me from that if I can get the 3d working and if not what the best solution is?

Hi,

Have you fully updated DirectX? There's a link in the FAQ to do this at the top of the forum. I can't tell from reading that, sorry, not very technical!

I'd also suggest checking that your graphics card driver is up to date. It is old and I think it's under minimum spec but its probably worth checking that you're as up to date as possible before conceding that.

I'm no expert either but if your thinking of upgrading your system you should try and get a new graphics card and some more RAM. You should be able to get both those things for a reasonable fee.

You've got DirectX 9c, so that should be ok., I think the problem is your graphics card, it needs to be at least 128mb and nvidia geforce 5900 series.
