evanjonesaber
I just wondered what teams you guys think are the easiest/most failsafe to start off with as a relative newbie? I did think of just picking Chelsea but then obviously with a big club/lot of money comes big expectations from the board. Don't have a go at me saying I'm trying to avoid a challenge or something, I just thought I would start off with a reasonably comfortable team - with not too demanding expectations? Giving me more leverage to play around with tactics etc. Your thoughts and advise would be most welcome
chopper99
Man City. Plenty of cash and the expectations aren't particularly high.
Pricey85
Damn you chopper! Beaten to the punch. I might also recommend Spurs, they seem to have bottomless pockets on my game and the squad is pretty solid.
CHARLIERODD
QPR. Start with a great squad and can be fun getting them promoted, with cash to build on in the prem.
Amaroq
I might also suggest starting with a "big club in a small league" situation - for example, picking either Celtic or Rangers, where you ought to do very well domestically but will be seriously challenged in European play. Ajax feels similar to me, though the domestic league is a bit more of a challenge. Alternately, some of the "serious growth potential" clubs are a lot of fun - by that I mean clubs sleeping outside of the top flight, but still possessing a serious / quality stadium. Nottingham Forest maybe, Sheffield United .. that sort of club.
Edmundo87
Ditto with Man City. I'm into my second season now (not with Man City) and they just keep buying and buying... and buying. Aston Villa also seem to throw the cash about too and already have a well established team.

evanjonesaber
Cheers guys, I started with Man Ciy. Have bought - Srna, Bojan, Veloso, Zambrotta, Given I fiddled with tactics and now effectively play 4-1-3-2 Played 4 won 4 so far - 21 goals scored - 8 goals conceded Not bad!
