treble99united
I installed the game on Saturday onto my C:/ drive but now having bought an external hard drive want to move it onto that. Is it as simple as just moving all the files or will I have to reinstall? Also, can I move my user data folder onto it with all my graphics on without any problems? don't want to re-install it if poss due to problems I had the first time. snootyjim
You can't move the files, it won't work if you do that. You would have to reinstall.
dfgrigg
Actually, it probably will work if you simply transfer the program's folder over. I wouldn't recommend it though. A USB external hard drive is going to be a lot slower than your internal drive. You can set the User Data folder to any path you'd like in the game's Preferences. snootyjim
The reason I say the above is because I expect it will screw up the registry links. If you want to try it though, feel free.
