robbieoswell
I have just bough the new fm but it is painfully slow on my computer. I was thinking of buying a new computer anyway, the main thing it will be used for is fm as well as college work. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a cheapish computer or laptop which would be able to run fm well. Thanks
Limited z0
I suggest you do this yourself, well at least a pick a model/laptop/PC that you may like, and post its specs, and then I'm sure you will get some people helping you out, plus should give you a better idea on what your looking for. Guest PW
Main things will be decent processor (2Ghz+ and dual or quad core ideally), decent graphis card, and decent RAM (2 gb +).
Sparks FC
Main things will be decent processor (2Ghz+ and dual or quad core ideally), decent graphis card, and decent RAM (2 gb +). Something with the equivalent specs below should do the trick: E8400 4Gb ram Gigabyte EP43-DS3 motherboard 9600GT 320GB HDD (Or whatever size you wish) Asus DW204LT DVD (Or whatever DVD/BR player/write you wish) Case + Power Supply (450W should be fine) Vista 64 You could spend less on - CPU (E7200 / E2180 for example) - GPU (HD4650 would likely do the job as well) Remember this is likely to last you a while, you can reduce costs as much as you like but IMO this system should last you a few years if you throw in a GPU upgrade if required. I'm in Australia so I can't comment on prices (Assuming you are in the UK), but a system like this would usually cost around $1000 AUD, which equates to around 400 pounds.
