LFCfan
It may be that your graphics card is below minimum spec. In which case, you won't be able to run the 3d view.

SI have ripped me off and i am not impressed So the fact you've been told your graphics card isn't up to spec has nothing to do with it?

Tiree_Don
In FM, go to preferences, and display and sound, set the 3d graphical resolution to low, and make sure names, stadium and sky are turned off. At the resolution set it to 1024 x 768. I had an issue with this, and these settings in FM worked fine for me.
LFCfan
To find out what graphics card you have: 1. Click "Start." 2. On the "Start" menu, click "Run." 3. In the "Open" box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks) , and then click "OK." 4. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the "Display" tab. 5. On the "Display" tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the "Device" section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has. LFCfan
It is listed as part of the minimum spec, which seems to indicate you might not get the 3d view. I'm afraid that's as much as I know
