HELP: Mac - Installed it, Clicked Icon, White screen!!!

Recommended Posts

Here are my Mac specifications:

Machine Name: iBook G4

Machine Model: PowerBook6,7

CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.1)

Number Of CPUs: 1

CPU Speed: 1.33 GHz

L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB

Memory: 640 MB

Bus Speed: 133 MHz

Boot ROM Version: 4.9.3f0

Sudden Motion Sensor:

State: Enabled

Version: 1.0

(I haven't bout FM since 2005) I put the disk in, followed the step by step instructions and installed it.

Then I went into applications, found the sports interactive folder, found the FM09 icon. I clicked on the Icon, first a black screen appeared the a white screen. I waited for 15 mins max to see if it was loading or something - still a white screen!!

I have read about patches and authentication etc.

If I have to input a code - which website do i do it from?

Or is that just for PCs?

The Patch that is due out Monday, will it fix my particular problem??

HEEEEEEEELLLPPP!!!!

I'm a mac user waiting on WWSM. Hopefully I won't have the same issue as I'll most likely be waiting even longer for a patch.

FM 2008 worked no problem out of the box on my system, as did the FM 2009 demo, so hopefully I'll have no issues. If I do, the game is going straight onto ebay, I'm not waiting on a patch to make a paid for game playable. I won't be able to run the 3D match engine without an upgrade, but I'm not concerned about that.

Nick Jarvis, I have a bad feeling that your specs don't meet the requirement, but I'm far from an expert so don't hold me to that

My specs:

Model Name: MacBook

Model Identifier: MacBook2,1

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

Processor Speed: 2.16 GHz

Number Of Processors: 1

Total Number Of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB

Memory: 1 GB

Bus Speed: 667 MHz

Boot ROM Version: MB21.00A5.B07

SMC Version: 1.17f0

Serial Number: W8730A48YA4

Sudden Motion Sensor:

State: Enabled

Ive got an older mac than you so it doesn't look hopeful. I cant see how a patch is going to help my situation. And because they state the specifications that you need to run the game (which I always ignore) I haven't got a leg to stand on.

It might be that I need to activate it, but no one / Instructions booklet has mentioned a website that you can activate it on. Steam is mentioned a lot, but from what I can gather, it is a Windows program (.exe) which doesn't mean anything to my computer!!!!

What a load of hard work - just to play a computer game!!!!!!!

You don´t need to activate the mac version.

Ah, at last, I can now dismiss activation on this issue thanks to Kubi,

But I did email Sega on the matter,

All I got back was "Have you checked the specs on the back of the Case?"

Thanks Sega for your concern!!!!

So I think that my laptop is too out of date to play FM09!!!!

Probably not a good investment to buy a new computer just so I can play a computer game!!!
