I have 1GB ram which meets the minimum requirements. So if i bought another 1GB ram today would it make the game faster? (Its rather slow).

Yes it will. MAKE SURE you get ram that is compatible and is the same as your current ram otherwise you will get all sorts of errors.

has to be the same speed eg 667mhz or ddr-ddr2.....its best to take the tower into the PC shop and get them to check it out.

Yes you should see a slot or two right next to where your current Ram is positioned. Place it in the slot right next to it. Make sure its facing the right way and that you're not forcing it, if you are then its probably meant to go in the other way around.

Btw RAM will be a big long square thing with a sticker on one side.

You will already see a similar stick on the motherboard

It should be situated on your motherboard, on some big long modules with pins at each end. You should see one Ram stick already there, just place the new one next to it in the other compartment. It should go in facing the same way as the one you already have in there.

Yes, if you dont open it then you cant do anything.
