Tim Bayliss Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 My friend installed the first time around using Steam etc. I did it for him, and to be honest I don't remember seeing a Phone option. So anyway, after seeing the authentication FAIL for like 3 days straight.... i am now wondering how I go back, and use Phone Auth. someone else I know has managed to get it working by getting a Phone auth Key and phoning. Except I can't even see the phone auth option, it says "Steam" and that is it on install. Please does anyone know how to change from Steam to Phone authentication, the installer doesn't give me the choice anymore - i'm not sure it did in the first place. I havent even seen any real attempts to delete the stupid SoftAnchor rubbish from the game! - which should be SI's first thought. If MILLIONS of people can't authenticate - what do u do - YOU DELETE THE STUPID POINTLESS ACTIVATION SOFTWARE IN A PATCH! PROBLEM SOLVED! Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
lawsie Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 I didn't get it the first time but i got it the 2nd time when i installed via steam, i activated my copy via steam then when i launched the game i got the option of doing it via phone or internet.
