lawsie
Well as topic says do you need to be connected to the internet everytime you play FM 2009? Only way i can see to launch the game is via steam and tbh thats pretty poor. If your connection goes down for whatever reason you cant play the game? Or is there another way to launch the game? edit: Also if you lose connection mid game do are you able to play on? I tried to close steam when FM was running but it told me FM 2009 would stop running. Why on earth is it like that? I really don't get it.

Administrators Neil Brock Posted November 16, 2008 Administrators Share Posted November 16, 2008 No not at all. If you're unconnected to the Internet when you start up Steam it gives you the option to run it offline. However for all updates yes you will need to be online. bell
No you dont. You can go into Steam and right click the game and set it to play offline.

jod123
Also you can go here: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2009 and just launch the game from here. you don't need to have steam running then.
kccircle
Had same problem. Get the FM09 icon to the desktop Go offline with steam and its just like an older FM game If youre still stuck then send me a PM and I'll try to talk you through it
