Oh not not another,

Yep fraid so!

I am a complete novice to all this downloading, steam stuff. So can someone step me thru this like the dummy that I am

1) When I load up steam, I get a screen that says 100% ready, I click on the launch button, it says it is preparing to launch, then I look at the "my games" tab it then says its updating - am I missing something

2) If I go to this:

C:\Program files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2009\data\updates

I get the 910 folder, I give it a click, I then get two folders data and db - I thought this was gonna be the updated patch - am I missing something

3) FM2009v9.0.1 patch dot .exe - Somehow I have managed to get this onto my desktop, but I really cant recall how, I think "Yippeeeeee" give it a click, runs nicely. Runs, until I get an error message saying "Error reading file block 149"

Can someone please give me a nudge in the right direction, I feel like im so close.
