If you are trying to run the game on less memory than what is said on the box, this is also another reason you might get a blue screen. Due to the computer not being up to the job and crashing the memory. The game is playable on the majority of pc's and almost certainly all the ones which meet the recommended requirements. It sounds very much like your Pc has a RAM issue.
