tottenham2k7
Vista users may try this: 1. Remove your DVD 2. Start -> Configuration -> Hardware & Sounds -> Autoplay options -> Check the checkbox on the top -> Choose with "Software & Games" for the option: "Open folder and show files with Windows Explore" 3. Save 4. Insert your game 5. Run setup (could take a while before it starts). This was posted by Miles in a previus thread.
hammers123
same here and I definitely do have a DVD drive. I would love a solution to this because I have been fiddling around for hours with no success. It just doesn't respond. Any ideas?
Football_Manager08
Do this. Q) I just put the Football Manager disc into my drive and its not showing up. Why is this? A) Can be a few reasons. All of the other Football manager games were on CD, but this one (Football Manager 2009) is now on dvd. If you do not have a dvd drive, there is other ways you can do it. Simply install steam (here= http://storefront.steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.msi ). Then install that, create a new account and then when you've done that. Simply login, and go into the game blade. Then go to activate a product. Next get your serial number from your Football Manager 2009 manual and enter it in the box. When you've done that, it'll start downloading. When thats done (you can tell if it says 100% ready). Simply click launch game and it'll start. si_mats
Changing your DVD drive's transfer mode to PIO only will probably help it to recognise the disk. (Right-click My Computer|Properties|Hardware tab - select IDE channel your drive is on - Advance Settings|Transfer mode)
