Slower User Interface?

Anyone else notice that the UI is slower than FM08? For example, scrolling through the menus seems to be less fluid than before....is this something that could be improved on by a different type of skin?

At least for me it doesn't seem to be slower than on FM 08.

Sometimes, but that is because I am constantly on the internet

it is slower but it went back to normal speed when i took the 3d off and reverted back to 2d so it must be linked to this

I'm seeing it around the main menus, as opposed to the match-screen menus so I don't think the 3D is impacting on it.

i had it round all menus, it quickened when i took 3d off and slowed again when i put 3d back on again

Tried that but didn't notice much improvement. Is it likely that the number of leagues selected would impact on it? I'm aware it would affect results processing etc but not too sure it would affect the UI itself.....

My gaming experience seems slower than FM08.

I think its the new match engine that slows the game pretty much ! :-@

Yes, noticeably slower just moving between basic UI windows. Not sure what SI have done here, havent seen them comment on it.

Anyone from SI able to shed some light on this?

I did actually report this in the Bugs forum, the game seems to hog the processor when it's performing simple tasks. Several other people have confirmed high processor usage and I've asked for a response from SI several times if they're looking into it, but we've had nothing.

Having monitored the CPU usage on my PC I can't see a direct link between scrolling through a menu and CPU increase. Could a new skin improve performance I wonder?

I think it's a RAM issue. UI is slow for me only when I have Firefox and iTunes open too.

Processing the game is pretty quick but scrolling is not as responsive as 08..

Can be quite annoying.

I doubt its a memory thing. It's always the same speed regardless of how many things I have running.

yeah its slower. it takes me about 60 seconds to load the match even though my computer is pretty quick. it must be the 3d match engine; so we just have to get used to it.

Don't think it's RAM either. I've an Intel 2.2Ghz Core Duo CPU with 3GB of RAM, and it's slow.

Can anyone from SI shed some light on this please as it's a fairly fundamental problem?

PC is more than powerful enough for it too.

The whole UI is much, much faster for me than on FM08. Only thing that is slower is the 'Setting Up Match' which can be a bit annoying.

Yeh I have 1.6ghz cpu and the UI is terribly laggy and slow, processing speeds are fine, just working around the buttons is unbearable. Weird

Play it in windowed mode..much more responsive when scrolling

Maybe it's the skin...have downloaded the green skin at this link and scrolling seems to be quicker, haven't had the chance to test it fully tbh:

Personally im thinking about returnin o9 and re-installin 08!

God noes how mnay viruses i havepicked up from these bloody patches!

Seen this happen lots when trying to select buttons etc you have to click 4 or 5 times to get the thing to accept the click. Sometimes you see the button react to the click (ie the slight change when a button is clicked) but it still wont do what the button is supposed to (open another menu etc).

Gets pretty annoying.

It's very slow. FM08 worked perfect for me, now this one is just a chore to play.

running dual core 3.0, dual graphics card and 4gb of Ram and its very slow at times, it was fine with the demo, 3d is now choppy at times. I am running a couple of countries but still surprised with my machine it should be better.

Must say I find that skin above a definite improvement, give it a go.
