Addicted To Signing Players

I'm still playing 08, but this addicition is relevant to all versions of the game.

I've just noticed that in the first 7 seasons as FC Bayern manager I signed 109 players, that's nearly 16 players a season I'm addicted to searching for good young players and signing them, whether I need them or not. I currently have 35 players in my under 19 squad, most of which will never get a game.

Am I mad or does anyone else spend a majority of their FM time signing players?

Yeah I usually buy as many players if I'm with a rich club. Actually, iirc in my final FM08 save with Juventus I think I bought 127 players in my 5 years in charge

I only buy when I see fit to so. For example, injury crisis, new recruit, back-up, etc.

yep i am exactly the same i was athletico madrid had loadsa money and bought 43 young players in 1 summer , about 13 of them made it to the 1st team within 4 years they won the league most of them left for pretty much nothing

158 players signed by 2012/2013, the first few seasons I signed around 40 players a season. This season I've signed only eight, but the January window is soon to open!
