help error code 51

hi

i read on here that if you recieve an error code 51 to do the following on vista :

uninstall game

go to c:program data/sports interactive/football manager 2009 certificate

delete all content

restart computer

install the game

and this should work

great !!! but i have tried looking for the program data in the c: but cant find it !!!!

can anyone help , am i just doing somthing really stupid ?

I'm getting the exact same error message everytime. Error (-51). I have tried the above advice but it doesn't seem to be working. Can someone please try and help me.

Yea, I've tried that, but it still won't work.

When i click the back after i've got the error message and i input my code and click next it seems to take ages flashing up 'initialising'. So far it's been flashing that up for 2 hours, without anything else hapening. Is this normal? Shud i let it finish, or shud i close it down and repeat the steps on the other thread until it works?

Retry the steps in that other thread - also are you using an administrator account on your computer?

:mad:i have installed the game. when i go to launch it i keep getting a message saying failed to initilize properly (0xc0150002) any ideas.

Have you got the latest version of Microsoft Net Framework installed. If not download that and try again.

I have to use an administrator account to install the game, but my administrator account doesn't have internet access. so i install it then go onto my other account to activate it. Is that where my problem is occuring?

Sorry shud hav explained, that when i log on as administrator it is local to my laptop, rather than across the network which is why i have no internet on my administrator account
