Problem.

My account has just been activated with that soft thingy program. But FM09 does'nt appear on my desktop or anything. Any suggestions?

You prob just need to create a shortcut on your desktop.

Sort of the same problem mate , except mines appears but i cannot run it ??

It always helps to give info on your OS for things like this.

If you're using Vista, click on your Start menu (bottom left of your screen by default), on the right-hand side you should see an option that says Games, click it.

Right-click where it says Football Manager 2009 and select Copy, go to your desktop (Windows key+D), right click again and select Copy SHortcut, this then works.

thanks for the help but when i double click Football Manager 2009 it just goes straight to my documents instead if running the game. And when i right click on it , there is no option to run the game ??

right click on the desktop, click to create new shortcut, you then need to go into your c drive then sports interactive folder, you should be able to create a shortcut from that

still not working lol , im not sure if its anything to do with the fact that i downloaded the patch after i played the game ?

Go to C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009 and double click on fm.exe

To create a shortcut on your desktop right click on fm.exe and while holding in the right click button drag it do your desktop and release and then select 'Create Shortcut Here' by left clicking

Im not sure where your getting fm.exe from ??

Im on vista if that makes any difference ?

How did you get the shortcut???

click start and put this in the start search...... C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009 , you should then find the FM09 icon and you can find the shortcut from there
