GUI, Installation problem!

Recommended Posts

Try updating your Java if not already the latest version

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

I'm fairly certain they would have fixed it but there was a bug in the installer software last year where if the Operating System account user name had non alphanumeric characters it would cause this. Has your Windows user name got any characters like !£$ etc.?

You can test Java here

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

Alternatively Start > Run, type 'cmd' without the quotes and click OK.

In the next interface that pops up type 'java -version' (without the quotes and including the space between java and -version) and press return.

Take a screenshot of that by pressing Alt + Prnt Scrn, pasting into Paint (Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint, Edit > Paste, Save)and host it at www.imageshack.us

I just found out that i have multiple accounts on my computer, and the one that is opening the file has an ! in it, i try to run it as admin, but the computer has a password for that account.

Is there a standard password?

It is your computer and you do not know the Administrator password?

Honestly sounds kind of dodgy :D
