3xplosiv3
When i try to install my new FM game, i get this message at the beginning, right after i've chosen language: Unable to load and prepare the installer in GUI-mode. I really want to play, and can't understand what the problem is. Can anyone help me? Mike
Neji
How far does the installer get, can you post a screen shot of the moment the error comes up? Thanks.
isuckatfm
Try updating your Java if not already the latest version http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp I'm fairly certain they would have fixed it but there was a bug in the installer software last year where if the Operating System account user name had non alphanumeric characters it would cause this. Has your Windows user name got any characters like !£$ etc.?
3xplosiv3
It autostarts, and then i choose norwegian, which is my language, and then the message comes up. I can try and update my java first to see if that helps.
isuckatfm
You can test Java here http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml Alternatively Start > Run, type 'cmd' without the quotes and click OK. In the next interface that pops up type 'java -version' (without the quotes and including the space between java and -version) and press return. Take a screenshot of that by pressing Alt + Prnt Scrn, pasting into Paint (Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint, Edit > Paste, Save)and host it at www.imageshack.us
