Is it safe to close FM?

I have noted a few people who've closed FM and not been able to open it again. Has this situation been sorted now? I want to turn my PC off but I'm afraid that I won't be able to access the game again, having shelled out good money for it. Is it safe to close FM?

In my experience, not safe - I cannot get back into the game. Any ideas how to uninstall the game from Steam?

Right. Looks like my computer is going to have to stay on tonight then. Is this something client-side? In other words, am I now doomed to lose my game whenever I close it or is this something that can be fixed at SI's end before I close the game?

Result. I knew us non-Steam users would have a vaguely usable game in return for not bloating our computers with that useless sh*te, but I didn't quite expect it to happen this way.

I confirm I bought box version and auth'ed yesterday and I can close down, etc fine... (upto now that is )

Im unsure what is happening lol. I have the disk form of game but it was activated using steam and that other random thing which was causing the problems. Anyone who did same as me had success closing game and restarting it and anyone not?

Same here. Luckily because I already knew Steam was a bag of sh*te. I feel sorry for the people who trusted SI and believed them when they said it was a good move to associate themselves with Steam(ing turd).

This is the first im aware of such a problem. Hope my game is fine lol. Spent all day sacking and hiring staff! I'll look for my save and copy it somewhere else so I got a backup, should help.
