POSSIBLE Solution for Vista Users! READ!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I do sincerely hope I can help.

As a Vista user I'm sure you know about the annoying "Run as Administrator" option you always have to select whenever you want to run something.

I was suffering with the [-51] problem. Not sure if it'll help anyone else though!

1) Right, firstly, find the FM09 file situated in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2009

2) Once you have located the icon you click to run the app, right click it and select 'Run as Administrator'.

3) This should bring you to the activation key window. Open up Steam, double click Football Manager 2009, and select the option "Copy to Clipboard" when prompted regarding your activation key (This is purely to save you re-typing it in your first window you opened because it doesn't allow you paste in your code unless you re-save it to you clipboard via the Stream programme. If this makes no sense, just type in your code)

4) Click 'next' and it should take it from there for you and give you a succesful message!
