Downloaded mine via steam

And all i can say is i am glad i did.

Once it downloaded all ready to play no activation no installing patch as this was all done.

Also saved me going to the shop this morning to buy.

That's strange, mine played fine and didn't ask. The 2nd time I loaded it up it told me I was going to be asked for the code but it never did. Plays fine at the moment.

and the patch is already there?

Ive tried the keycode help JJay just trying to reinstall now as per the advice on the sticky thread

Mine asked for activation code. pasted the cd key into steam and it told me the key was invalid. Launched the game anyway and it works fine, so god knows whats going on.

I also copied the fm exe from the steam folder to my desktop and now i dont even need steam running to launch my game.

you know what i never actually tried to start a game because i thought i would have to activate. I also thought you had to activate it to get the patch. do you have the patch honky or stu?

Yes comes with the patch all installed.

I start the game and the key comes up in the bottom right corner but just hit shift+tab and it go's.

No i have got a P.C so not sure what's going on but am loving the game at the moment.

hopefully that will work for me now too, at least i have fm live to keep me occupied

I have PC also and I never had to activate with steam either. It gave me an activation key but I never had to used it. Strange.

Must admit I was dubious about downloading through steam, but also glad i did it just went so smoothless.
