Please Help Using Patch

HI

this is going to be the first time i am going to use a patch as the game is not playable without it.

i have no clue what i am supposed to do so i would appreciate it if someone could take me through the proccess.

how do i download it?

where do i save it?

what do i do once it has downloaded?

I am buying the boxed copy from Game. Am gonna install it normally. Then I will authenticate/activate through steam (thus getting the new patch). do i then have to have the internet running everytime that i play te game ?

Hi as far as I know you should do the following:

1. Download it via http://www.footballmanager.com/index.php?p=article&newsid=2515 (just copy and paste this into your browser).

2.I normally just RUN the download (click on the run button rather than save button).

3.Once it has downloaded it should then unzip itself to your game folder and the next time you start FM09 it should have the patch installed.

Even with the boxed version of the game, when you authenticate through steam the patch should be automatically applied.

And no, you don't have to be online to play the game. Once it's been authenticated you can play off-line.

Is there a patch for the Mac if so where can I download it?

I'm getting the same thing, both of those downloads don't work and I really don't want to start a game without the patch!
