shrekiejai
I remember reading that one of the key feature for FM2009 is that the Transfer module has been completely rewritten. Has anyone managed to find any difference to last year? On the demo, I still have to pay way over the value of a player when buying, and the AI hardly budges from the "expected value" when they are buying. Offering backup players on the cheap still rarely work for me (maybe I havn't offered them cheap enough - I slashed 1M off their expected value). I'm not doubting the module has been rewritten, but it would be good to know what aspect did the development team focus on. What changes should we be expecting? What are the expected improvements? smithers08
Seems easier to sell players and realsitic bids are now accepted
BlackTiger
To be honest when playing the demo i did see improvements. I could sign a 6mil player for 10 or 11mil - something i found difficult to do on FM08. Also playing as Newcastle, Spurs started off with a 4.5mil bid for Owen but i managed to get them up to 13mil. You won't notice anything massive but i think in the long run, you will notice a change for the better, maybe once you try to sign youth players etc.
ScouseFromTheSouth
Yeah, it was usually in the third season onwards when ridiculous £30mil+ transfers for average players started happening. Hopefully the same won't be happening.
