Anyone thinking about doing a all nighter?

IMO everyone in here thinks about it

course i won't it means sleeping, early night on thursday 4pm ish, wake up at 1155 nip down asda, come home install play for hours on end

I'll probably get started on a game in the early evening, it could be a late night though.

I wont do an all nighter. I might have if I didn't get the demo, but now I've explored the (lack) new features but I'll defenitly buy it on the 14th.

Gone are the days of 30 hour playing sessions.

What time do 24hr supermarkets put the game on the shelves?

Has it worked for some of you going in at midnight?

Did you have to ask them to get the game out or was it already on display?

School Im afraid, and what is the need? I will get most the weekend (exept for when I go down to watch Birmingham and my sunday league game) to play it so I do not need or want to stay up all night

Nope. I will be doing an all-dayer. Midnight = 10am down here in Australia

Edit - Will the phone lines open at 10am down here to authenticate (midnight in the UK), or will it be at midnight local time i.e. 10 hours earlier?

lol well until the other day i was working full time and a bit annoyed that i wouldn't have much time to play it.

But as of the other night i bust my ankle playing football so i've got at least three weeks off sick, so plenty of time to play it, and i'll be getting paid for it!!! at least i think i will....

Has anybody confirmed the actual 'switch-on' time or are people just making one vast assumption that it will be midnight? I'd have said normal business-opening time of 09.00 myself, but I'm only guessing as well.

Steam currently says 4 days and 11 hours which would make it around midnight.

I'm pretty sure SI have announced that it'll be available at 0900 hours on the 14th via stream. They said that even if you pre-order it won't "arrive" until 9:00.

I certantly won't be doing an all nighter (I enjoy the game and am looking forward to its release.... but come on ).

The company I work for has however, due to the financial crisis amoung us all, cut our working week to Mon-Thurs - therefore I will have all of Friday to try out the full game.

Depends who chose to use Steam for authorisation doesn't it...

My full-time job will get in the way of any all-nighter. Unless I call in sick. But the economy's in a bad enough condition anyway without me adding to it.

No...on Friday - if he gets the game at midnight Thursday/Friday, he will be up all night and then have to go to school in the morning...I think.

Hopefully game will arrive on Thursday from play.com, will install, then download patch at midnight, come home from work on Friday and have an entire weekender.

well let´s see! I am gonna drink a lot of coffe and wait compatibility patch so that i can play FM 09 with my old graphic card like I did all those versions before!

Any news on that patch by the way?

My girlfriends birthday is the 14th... absolute shocker.

I'm thinking about breaking up with her for that reason. Got a few days to think it over

ill probably get it around 1pm friday, and despite waking up at 5:30am each weekday, ill probably keep playing til around 4am or so

Nope, got an early start for work on Friday, then going out drinking in the evening. Will probably load it up sometime on Saturday and play it for quite a bit then.

pre-ordered it via amazon. hopefully it will arrive 14th and the whole weekend will disappear in an fm2009 blur. lol.
