Matches pre determined on 09??

Just been trying out some new tactics/tweaking in the demo.

Played the same game now 3 times (reloading) with different tactics.

On each occasion my opponents have scored in the 2nd min.

Coincidence???

And also now been 2 - 0 down at half time 3 times.

They shouldn't be? the match is played over every time you alter your tactics, try and find out how you are conceding the second minute goal and stop it, try changing your formation or something? it should work eventually.

I'm sure they can't be pre determined but it's been really spooky the same result and the 2nd min goal 3 times with 3 different tactics.

It is a bit strange... what is more strange is that Man City seem to sign the same players on every game? Enyeama (sp) for 60k, arshavin for about 12.5m amongst others.... That's surely pre-determined

Apparently that's because we're loading up a save game (quick start) so the shortlists are always the same

People often said this about FM08 but nothing whatsoever has ever been substantiated. The way the match engine works is not predetermined.

However, if you are saving your game after all press comments etc have gone out then if it works anything like 08, your team's morale is set. The same for the other team. So both teams' mental state is already set up.

When you say "different" tactics, do you mean different default tactics, or different tactics of your own? If you mean default try messing with your own -- perhaps a deeper defence or shorter or slower passing, something like that. Or try holidaying, see if that gets the same result.

I would suggest that it's due to there being far too many early goals conceded in FM for the last couple of years
