Ridiculous Results Against Lower Ranked Teams

Ok I'm Norwich and I admit they are a bit ****, but when they play

Lowestoft, Kings Lynn and Dereham

I kind of expect better results than 1-0, 2-0 etc. In real life Norwich won against Lowestoft 12-0.

Now before you start slating me that I'm just a **** manager, I've tried pretty much every tactic available, sold, bought players, but nothing seems to change. The best result I've had is 4-0 against Dereham - who aren't anywhere near the conference.

I think they've toned down free-scoring games that we know from FM08... I think it's something they'll probably be looking at with a view of adjusting. I agree though that weaker teams should yield more goals, but I'm enjoying how much closer competitive games are

In real life they had another manager.

I won my first friendly 7-0 against a team that in reality in a cup match this season we only won 1-0. I guess these results can happen.

I won all my friendlies against lower league teams to be honest.

And you actually won these matches as well? Hardly ridiculous I think. To me, the 12-0 is more ridiculous whether is happened in real life or not is irrelevant.

Ummm just to let you know mate norwich did lose to Dereham

yeah I've been winning 4 or 5 nil occasionally. You can't expect teams to win against lower teams all the time by huge margins. I remember the Barcelona asia tour a couple of years back, they won every match only by 1 or 2, and they even drew once. Please do more research before making an unsupported claim.

Its a friendly, so your players won't be going out all guns blazing. 4-0 is a decent result for pre-season. Give them time and let them grow and they will get used to your tactics (if you stick with just one) and then they will blossom.
