It is against the law to do so, you can only burn things to backup your OWN files. Announcing it on a internet forum is not the brightest thing either! Well I'm sure all he would get is a few rude comments on the forums, not like the police are going to be knocking on his door if he downloaded directx and the demo and burnt it to give to his friend...
