the 5-0-5 experiment

Recommended Posts

From watching the match engine with Tranmere I noticed a lot of long balls in the lower leagues so decided to go 5-0-5 with long ball to see what difference it would make for my season, heres my results so far

Tranmere v Stockport - 3-2 win

Tranmere v Morcambe 3-0 win

Brighton v Tranmere 1-0 defeat

Tranmere v Cheltenham - 3-0 win

West Ham v Tranmere 2-1 defeat

Walsall v Tranmere 1-1 draw

Tranmere v Accrington 2-1 win

Tranmere v Southend 3-1 win

Considering we had more shots than Brighton in that game it looks like a system that could work in the lower leagues, havent tried it with a bigger team yet but will continue with this and then try it later and report

okay will repost in the tactics forum, to be honest didnt know where to post it as wasent sure if its a problem with match engine or not, the reason its working is that the opposition players dont move forward with the ball into the space they just stand unmarked with acres in front of them and pass it back
