Two wingers - different instructions

Dear God in Heaven - how do I tell Shuan Wright-Phillips to stay on the wing harrass their fullback yet tell Arshavin that I want him to drift in from the left and become a third striker as per positional abillity?

I have used the game with some success using a players position and the arrows. What do all those damn sliders mean anyway?

Free role to Arshavin. I'm managing Villa and I gave Ashley Young a free role. Saw him cutting inside to the edge of the penalty box and scoring for me.

Arshavin: Free role, fwr runs, run with ball, att mentality, lots of creative freedom.

Swp: Go to byline, not as much creative freedom and perhaps limit fwr runs and lower his mentality (relative to the team).

Crossing instructions will help a player decide whether they will cut in or not. Less crossing + run with ball = cutting in.

There is. It's called free role. It frees them up to move into other positions, like drifting from the wing to a strikers role or AM role.
