nch
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=588575&sec=england&cc=4716 ''With a total debt of more than £736 million, sacking the £100,000-a-year scouts will only scratch the surface in balancing the books - something Abramovich wants to see done by 2010." Why doesn't Chelsea have any debt in the game?
Bardia
And I don't understand why Newcastle has debt... Ashley wiped the debt out, that is one of the selling points of the club!
Pope of Pot, King of Nothi
Isn't that a fairly recent development? I mean, we all knew Chelsea had a debt to its owner in the form of a no-interest-loan, but I did not know that it stood at about £736m. Anyway, atleast there is a figure now that can be put into the editor/patch.

Why doesn't Chelsea have any debt in the game? Ashley wiped out a significant amount of debt but Newcastle are by no means out of the red.
dirtyprettymagpie
Sorry for the double-post, I quoted the wrong comment. Sure you can figure that out though lol
Abaddon879
In game, the loan would gather interest i presume. I guess that is why Chelsea don't have a loan debt.
CaseyChaos
And I don't understand why Newcastle has debt... Ashley wiped the debt out, that is one of the selling points of the club! he only wiped out half as far as im aware

Chelsea4Eva
Realistically Chelsea don't really have any debt, its money Roman has invested in the club and as such its his own debt to himself.
Swindon69
It's money he has loaned to a seperate entity, if he left Chelsea it would all be repayable.
bell
It is notional debt, not a real one.
Horbury
And why do Leeds have adebt now? Ken Bates says we're debt free (so it must be true! )
jayahr
It is notional debt, not a real one. Well, contractually it's debts and Roman will some way or another want his money back, that's why he set up his investements as debts in the first place. If FM for once incorporated all the millions of debts acquired by the big players in the Champions League I would greatly appreciate that
bRAzIL
Man U have a massive debt I didn't realise they were in the red too. Most of Leeds debt I believe is gone too.
