Help cant install Demo properly

Hi All,

Tried to download the demo and am getting to error messages. First of all i was getting the error message saying An internal system error occured, please refer to DXError.log in your windows folder to determine the problem.

Now i get the application has failed to start because d3dx9_37.dll was not found.

I have seen the second one is a known issue and tried to follow the instructions given but it still wont work, the game downloads fine its the part of the dxinstall that doesnt seem to be installing properly, any help would be great as really want to play the demo but becuase of this probelm i am worried the new full game when it comes out may not work, thanks

- Install the Microsoft DirectX re-distributable package from here:

Using the link to install DirectX files helped me.

I got the same message as well and was also very frustrated until I found the above workaround... it should to the trick!

thanks, i tried thjose links and unfortunately it is still not working, do i have to do something after those links are downlaoded etc

I think you have to restart the computer after upgrading/reinstalling directx if you haven't tried that?

Tried lots of different options that i have read on these forms, not sure which one works but its now working, thanks for all the help, going to have a go now and see what its like

I am having the exact same problem as above. I also can't seem to get onto those links provided, is there a direct link that will just download the directx file that I need?

I was getting the same message and i used the second link that gyxi posted. The first time i downloaded it it never worked, but then i downloaded it a second time and it worked a treat.

Create a folder on your desktop, call it directx or anything you like. Download this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C1367BC3-4676-481A-BFAA-5C15D1D7199D&displaylang=en Then extract the files to your folder you created. Go into your folder and look for the file named DXSETUP. Double click on that. Install it. Restart your computer and then try your game.
