Which youth players to keep

Are there any clues in a youth players stats to look out for in deciding if he will ever be any good in the future. I usually start in spain and the clubs have loads of youth players and i end up releasing most of them because they are so bad. Do you believe in what your assistant says about them as sometimes the ones with the worst stats are the ones he says to keep. I always try to train and get all my youth players playing games or loaning them out. It is one of areas of the game that i enjoy, trying to bring through the youth players but sadly up until now its been very frustraiting.

I've always thought that a good level of mental attributes is important for youth players - determination, ambition, etc.

Use your coaches and their reports

Does it matter if your coaches are World class or just starting out. Do older and more experienced coaches have more clout in thier reports or would any level of coach come to the same conclusion.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that older, more experienced staff with better reputations will give more accurate reports on players, especially if they have good ratings for 'judging potential'.

I think I read for 09 that young players who have the potential to be world class are now visably easier to spot from a very young age. Presumably they will have better stats from the start.
